KavSMotorsport Mini Cooper S tuning parts

The KMT abbreviation refers to the name Kavs Motorsport and it is named after Ambrož Kavs. He developed an interest in motor sport and passion for cars, especially for the MINI Cooper S. In 2002, he decided to purchase a Mini Cooper S and he is a proud owner ever since. Recently, he decided to set up a small workshop specialized in Mini car tuning. The workshop is situated in Slovenia, a country which has been a part of the European Union since 2004.

Ambrož was satisfied with the original model of the car, but saw the potential for its development. In 2005, he began modifying the Mini, but with certain difficulties. One problem was the acquisition and assembly of the tuning parts, because there is no dealership for Mini tuning parts in Slovenia. All parts had to be purchased abroad. The negligence and carelessness of most garage mechanics in the area was also an issue.

Considering the fact that many tuning parts are extremely expensive, not to mention the shipping rates and customs expenses, Ambrož decided to construct certain parts by himself and manufacture them with the help of his current employer (Kovinoplast Ivan Kavs Company). In 2006, the first product was made: a Mini Cooper S pulley for the compressor drive. It is not a coincidence that a pulley was chosen for their first product, since the company has considerable experience in this area. Later on some other parts were made as well.

Their work is accurate and reliable and thus they gained the trust of several dealerships. With their help, other car parts can be ordered and installed (camshafts, limited slip differentials, exhaust manifolds etc.).
